The Fields panel displays file system and metadata information for items selected in the main window. Many of the fields that are displayed can be edited directly.
When you select a single asset, all of that asset’s catalog information and metadata is displayed in the Fields panel. Any metadata that you edit is changed only for the selected asset.
When you select multiple items, the Fields panel displays the fields that are common to all selected items. Any changes you make in the displayed fields will be applied to all items in the selection.
