Moving an existing Vault

Moving an existing Vault

If you have already created a Vault catalog but want to relocate the Portfolio Vault, you can move the existing Vault folder:

  1. Click Status, then click Stop Portfolio.

  2. Click Global Settings, then click Server Data Locations. Make a note of the Portfolio Vault folder location.

  3. In Windows Explorer or the macOS Finder, copy the Vault folder to the new location.

The Vault folder must be on a local drive and must be read/write accessible to the Portfolio server.

Tip: If at all possible, keep the Vault on an internal drive. If that isn’t possible, we suggest a locally connected, large, fast hard drive or RAID array.

  4. Click Change next to Portfolio Vault folder.

  5. Browse to the desired Vault folder, then click Select.

  6. Click Status, then click Start Portfolio.
