Ingesting files

The Ingest operation allows you to import an entire folder of files, including the structure of subfolders, into your vault-based catalog.

The folder must be accessible to the Portfolio server, either on a local drive or a shared network folder.

Note: Network folders mapped to a drive letter are not visible to Portfolio.

To add a folder of files:

  1. Select the folder or subfolder that you want the folder to be copied to.

  2. Click Add Assets and choose Ingest.

  3. Select the folder to import and click Ingest.
