You can export the metadata for assets to a tab-delimited text file that can be imported into Portfolio or another system. This requires that you have Catalog Administrator access, or have Editor or Publisher access with permission to Import/Export Metadata.
The exported text file consists of a header line followed by a separate line of metadata for each asset.
The header line consists of the names of the fields that are exported, separated by tabs. The first field exported is RID, which represents each asset’s unique ID within Portfolio.
All fields of your catalog are exported, except Thumbnail, Document Text, and Thumbnail Size.
For fields that include multiple values (such as Keywords), values are separated by a vertical bar | character.
To export metadata:
Right-click on an organizer, a gallery, folder, or group of selected assets.
Choose Export Field Values from the shortcut menu.
