Connecting to Portfolio

Connecting to Portfolio

To connect to Portfolio, you must first have the following access information from your Portfolio Administrator:

  • The Portfolio server’s IP address or server name;

  • the Portfolio server port number used for Portfolio client connections;

  • your user name;

  • your password.

To connect to Portfolio:

  1. Open a supported web browser, or open Portfolio Desktop.

  2. In the address field, enter the IP address or server name followed by a colon and the port number.

    The default port for connecting to Portfolio is 8090. For example:

    http://192.168.0.1:8090

    http://servername:8090

  3. Select your preferred language from the drop-down menu.

  4. Enter your user name and password and click Login.

Check the box labeled Remember my Password to have the Portfolio client remember your password on the current computer. For the Portfolio Web client, this information is remembered for the browser you use to connect to the Portfolio server.

Changing the display language

You can specify the language of the Portfolio client through the language pop-up menu on the login screen.

To change the current language setting:

  1. Log out of the Portfolio Web client or Portfolio Desktop application.

  2. Select a new display language from the menu, then log in again.
