Cataloging files

There are a number of ways to add items to a catalog.

  • You can upload files to Portfolio directly from the Portfolio Web or Desktop clients. (This works with either Watch Folder or vault-based catalogs.)

  • You can add files to a Watch Folder on a computer on your network. A Catalog Administrator or Publisher can create folders for Watch Folder catalogs using Portfolio Desktop or Portfolio Web. (The Portfolio server needs to have access to the Watch Folder in order to catalog files in it.)

  • You can upload files from your iPhone®, iPad®, or Android™ device using Portfolio Flow®.
