In order for a user to access assets in a catalog, they must have two things: a Portfolio account (either native or through a directory service), and an assigned role in the catalog.
The Portfolio Administrator manages Portfolio accounts and directory service access.
For information on creating native user accounts, see Adding user accounts.
The Portfolio Administrator can also assign a role to a new account, so the user is automatically assigned to every catalog.
For information on configuring a directory service, see Configuring Active Directory.
For information on mapping LDAP user and group accounts to Portfolio catalogs, see Mapping users from Active Directory.
Assigning a role manually
To assign a user a role in a catalog:
Click Catalogs and select a catalog.
Click Users.
In the user’s row, choose a role from the pop-up menu.
To remove a user from a catalog, choose None from the pop-up Role menu.
