Build your Asset Collection
Objective: Add assets to your catalog
Let’s start with the most popular way of adding assets; by using a Watch Folder.
The Portfolio Administrator most likely configured the Watch Folder(s) by the time you first log in. These folders typically will point to a file share location on a network.
Add Assets to an Existing Watch Folder
- In the Organizer’s Panel, select a Watch Folder or SubFolder and in the ToolBar select Add Assets
- Navigate to the files you want to add and select them.
- Select Open
- Once the assets have been added to the Catalog, the refresh icon will pulsate — click refresh for the assets to display.
Add Assets via Drag and Drop Uploading
Drag and drop your assets to the WatchFolder or Subfolder in the organizer's panel. The assets will automatically be added to the file disk location on your network.
Add Assets to the Watch Folder Location on your Network
Watched Folders can be configured to constantly monitor for changes ( default ) and then automatically synchronize the Catalog whenever changes are discovered or via a selected interval ( e.g. every 1 hour ) or manually ( e.g. user-initiated ).
